SCAN YOUR TECHNICAL DRAWINGS
For the past 25 years we have been scanning old drawings for many clients around New Zealand. We can scan from Microfilm to
A0+. It is highly recommended that you scan drawings at 300DPI or above in TIFF format. This will enable you or contractors be
able to edit these drawing. PDF is not recommended for anything other than archiving. If you have a TIFF file it can be easily
saved as PDF to hand-over to clients. A PDF file at low resolution is very hard to edit. The normal procedure its to "Underlay" it
in the CAD software as a reference only.
RASTER EDITING & CONVERSION
WiseImage PRO from CSOFT is our preferred raster editor. We have been using this software for over 20 years. This is a very
economic way to edit those old paper drawings, keeping them as a TIFF file, or a hybrid and even doing a full conversion to
DWG format when needed.
